Haley Pollack is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner as well as a Bachelor of Science Registered Nurse with over 10 years of nursing experience in addition to non-nursing experience. She hails from the Midwest and spent most of her childhood in Indiana (Go Hoosiers).
She attended Indiana University earning a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice and religious studies. She spent the first few years after college working for a nonprofit organization focusing on political campaigns surrounding voters’ right, women’s rights and environmental advocacy. She became interested in nursing after working with a school nurse formulating a comprehensive sex education program in the Chicagoland area. She put herself through nursing school and achieved her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marian University. After graduating as a nurse, she elected to start her nursing career in the challenging field of trauma/neuro/surgical ICU at a Level 1 Trauma Center. There she found challenges, heartbreak as well as victories.
She grew tired of the Midwest winters and relocated to Charleston, South Carolina. There she continued to expand on her diverse career working for the Medical University of South Carolina in perioperative services and surgical services. She also pursued her passion in women’s health as a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE-RN).
This paved the way for her advanced degree earning a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and becoming a NCC Board Certified Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner. Always loving a challenge, she chose the field of infertility due to her personal connection with this specific population. She is certified through the ASRM Academy in Reproductive Endocrinology and continues to focus on women’s health issues dear to her heart. Recently, she has been pursuing additional education centering around perinatal mood disorders through the NPWH to better serve patients impacted by the struggles to achieve pregnancy.
When not in the office, Haley loves spending time with her two beautiful girls, her cats Mario and Luigi, reading a good historical fiction and being outside. Although she does not hail from the Carolinas, you can hear her cheer for the Gamecocks every chance she can.
