Dr. Tarnawa graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas before receiving his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he finished first in his class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. Before joining PREG in 2017, Dr. Tarnawa completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at MUSC in Charleston. He then completed fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where he remained for three years in private practice prior to returning to South Carolina.
Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Tarnawa’s professional specialties include in vitro fertilization, recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, male factor infertility, preimplantation genetic testing, fertility preservation, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Tarnawa is married and has a beautiful little girl who is the light of his life. He is honored to serve patients throughout the greater Charleston area, and beyond, at our Lowcountry center in the Nexton area of Summerville.
