ASRM Physician - Columbia & Greenville Centers
Piedmont Reproductive Endocrinology Group (PREG) is seeking board certified/eligible physicians for all of our centers. Immediate positions available, and would also consider fellows 1-2 years from program completion.
PREG represents the largest network of fertility centers in the Carolinas, featuring five locations (Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, and Spartanburg, SC and Asheville, NC) and three IVF labs (Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville centers). Our team currently consists of seven physicians and three mid-level providers who provide the breadth and depth of reproductive medicine services. We feature in-house egg and embryo donation programs with two full-time 3rd party ART coordinators. Three of our centers are fully accredited as surgery centers, allowing for on-site performance of procedures such as operative hysteroscopy, D&C, and tubal reversal, in addition to all IVF-related procedures. Our embryology team is led by an on-site laboratory director who oversees a team of 8 additional embryologists who boast a total of almost 90 years of combined experience. Qualifications
Education/ Certification/Licensure:
- Required Education Master’s or doctorate Degree (MSN or PhD or DNP) in Nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program.
- CURRENT Licensure, prescriptive authority (or eligible for prescriptive authority) and all applicable requirements of the Carolina licensure entails.
- Current certification from ANCC or AANP
- ACLS/BLS certification for Health Care Providers
- Required to obtain REI nursing certification after 1 year of employment.
- BLS and ACLS Certification
- Ultrasound experience preferred
- Strong communication skills & a team player
- Three (3) years nursing experience and at least 1 years’ experience as a nurse practitioner managing patient care (OBGYN, women’s health, or REI preferred).
- Experience in and a passion for women’s health, fertility is a plus
Availability
The practice has the established hours of 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM- Monday – Thursday and 7:30 AM – noon on Friday. Occasional weekend and holiday work may be required.
Responsibilities and essential functions include but are not limited to:
The employee shall, at all times, be subject to the rules of the employee handbook which may be amended as needed without notice.
- Be prepared to deliver patient care independently or as part of a treatment team.
- Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
- Perform higher level triage and referral to MD within practice as deemed appropriate.
- Provide comprehensive, continuous, and personalized patient care; including diagnosis, treatments and consultations.
- Perform physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines
- Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient s clinical problems and health care needs.
- Prescribe medication and follow prescription refill procedures/protocols for the practice. Prescribe or recommend drugs or other forms of treatment as needed. Consult with collaborative physician as needed.
- Participate in the management of ART cycles/ovulation induction/ IVF/labs/follow ups.
- And EVENTUALLY oversee patients’ ART cycles and coordinates patient treatment plans, such as Egg Freezing, IUI, In Vitro Fertilization and Frozen Embryo Transfers
- Educate patients on infertility evaluations, medications, treatment protocols and procedures
- Skills to include: Perform pelvic exams, including bimanual and speculum; perform diagnostic ultrasonography; perform intrauterine inseminations (all with training and proper return demonstrations)
- Assist with procedures/surgical interventions as applicable
- Collaborates with physicians (including fellows, residents, medical students) and nurses (NPs, RN’s, MA’s) and otherhealth professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
- Gives patient care directions to other nursing staff members, following established standards, policies and procedures.
- Refer patients to appropriate physicians for consultation if needed or to specialized health resources for treatment
Additional Responsibilities
- Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families.
- Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
- Participate in Quality and assessment improvement meetings.
- Maintain patient records confidentially.
- Record patient charges and lab charges for billing department.
- Ensure all patient information is documented appropriately in EMR
- Document work processes as required.
- Assist with research process as applicable
- Attend required training education, etc on an annual basis.
- Comply with infection control policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management.
- Provides patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions
- Provide feedback to CEO, office manager, and collaborative physician(s) on process improvement and job specifications to help gain efficiencies in your day to day for desired skills and experience in order to progress in NP role at PREG

Medical Laboratory Technologist - Columbia Center
Seeking an outgoing and compassionate individual for our Fertility Team. We are looking for a new dedicated laboratory staff member who is proficient in phlebotomy and processing specimens in the lab, QA, QC, customer service oriented, friendly, and able to multi-task. Experience in a medical setting is preferred. The most important traits for someone in this position would be experienced in a lab setting, compassionate, social, friendly, and detail oriented.
This position will work as part of a team to collect and process specimens. The Medical Lab Technologist will need to bring experience, excitement and a genuine care for people. Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience and outstanding customer service for patients at every appointment.
Responsibilities:
- Entering lab tests per physicians orders
- Performing endocrine testing on a Tosoh
- Performing andrology testing
- Greeting patients and making them feel comfortable during their lab procedures
