Fertility medications can be an important part of the patient’s treatment, and sometimes they are not covered by insurance. To help our patients, PREG participates with many pharmaceutical discount programs to reduce the cost of these medications.
EMD Serono Savings Programs
EMD Serono Savings Programs- Compassionate Care Program
Through a partnership with EMD Serono, Inc., a recognized leader in the United States biopharmaceutical industry, PREG is able to participate in the Compassionate Care medication program for patients who are undergoing IVF or Donor Egg treatment cycles. The Compassionate Care program is based on income and degree of insurance medication benefits.
In the past 12 months, PREG has had 243 patients who were approved and enrolled in this program. That’s a savings of $210,061! EMD Serono has recently restructured their Compassionate Care program, making fertility medications even more affordable for ALL patients. The criteria is slightly different and everyone is approved! Once approved, you will be approved for one year at the same discounted rate. Now patients who are having to do multiple cycles – whether it’s IVF, ovulation induction or timed intercourse – will have continuous savings on their medications. As long as you are receiving treatment for which an injectable medication is prescribed by your infertility specialist, you may apply for the program.

- LIVESTRONG Foundation’s Fertile Hope Program
Fertile Hope is a LIVESTRONG initiative dedicated to providing reproductive information, support and hope to cancer patients and survivors whose medical treatments present the risk of infertility.

EMD Serono is the sole donor of fertility medication to oncology patients in need through LIVESTRONG Foundation’s Fertile Hope’s program. Since 2009, Over 2300 patients have received donations totaling more than $8.8 million worth of medication.

Ferring Pharmaceuticals Savings Programs
- IVF Greenlight Program
Ferring’s IVF Greenlight Program offers financial assistance to self-pay patients for Ferring fertility medications, such as Bravelle and Menopur. Participants will receive a rebate for as much as 50% of the cost of the medications. Patients must purchase a minimum of 10 vials of Bravelle and Menopur to be eligible.
