Director of Surgery and Male Infertility

Besides the general areas of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Dr. McCoy has extensive surgical expertise in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. These include microsurgical techniques. He has served as a regional referral surgeon for patients with severe endometriosis, uterovaginal anomalies, and complex uterine fibroid cases. In addition, he has performed over 600 da Vinci Robotic Laparoscopic surgeries.

His special interest is in male infertility, and he focuses in the evaluation and treatment of male causes of infertility. Dr. McCoy prides himself on giving his patients the most advanced and personalized care available, and he feels that spending extra time with patients in educating them about their situation helps to increase their satisfaction.

In addition, he graduated Magna cum Laude from West Virginia University and then went on to obtain his M.D. at West Virginia University. He has furthered his education throughout the years at the University of Louisville where he honed his skills in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Throughout his time, Dr. McCoy has been an adjuvant clinical faculty member, an instructor, and a chief administrative resident. His publications include assisting as a section editor/co-editor and author of “Ob/Gyn Secrets, 4th ed” and “Operative Techniques in Gynecologic Surgery: REI: Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.”
